How outdated is phone books? An elderly customer calls and wants to know where we advertise, when my co-worker said the yellow pages as one on the list (let me just say he was from Lady Lakes, Fl) he wanted her to tell him what page the advertisment was one. At this point she told him she was unsure because she is not in Lady Lakes the customer in a very rude fashion said to her "you are of no help" and he hung up on her hastly. Now my question is when did we the "customer service reps" become the customers "DB" (do bitch) in case you all were wondering. I mean seriously open your phone book for your area and look up "Pest Control".
Another complaint I have today and everyday I work is that when our customers call us they never have (well 98% of the time) their customer #. How many of you call a company that provides service to you without having your customer #? Then when we can not locate the account the customer can sometimes get vulgar and angry telling us we don't know what we are doing and they want a supervisor. Really how can you not providing us with correct information to look up your account mean WE don't know what we are doing.
